Spam consists of any email messages that have been sent un-requested to multiple email addressees. Spam often takes the form of multiple postings of the same message to news groups or list servers that have no relationship to the message subject.
Spam is also known as UCE (Unsolicited Commercial Email) and UBE (Unsolicited Bulk Email).
Spammers purchase or harvest email address lists, then send messages from several addresses to all areas of the Web.
Web Mail provides an originating IP address
that is embedded in the full address headers to help identify and track
the sender to their service provider.
