Including a Web site link in your mail

To insert a hot link to a Web site in the text of your message:

  1. While you are viewing the Web page you want to send a link for, click in the browser address bar to highlight the Web address.

  2. Press Ctrl-c to save the Web address to the clipboard.

  3. Go to the email message and click where you want to insert the Web address.

  4. Click Ctrl-v to paste the Web address at that location.

If the address is blue-underlined, clicking it takes the recipient to that Web page. Continue composing your letter.

If the address is not blue-underlined, continue with the next step.

  5. Click the Options tab.

  6. Under Display Options, next to Link Appearance, click Highlight URLs.

    Note:
URL is the acronym for Uniform Resource Locator (the Web page address).

  7. Click Save. The Web address becomes blue-underlined. When the recipient clicks the Web address, it takes them to that Web page.
