Incorrect delivery of email messages is not common; however, if it does occur, check the following scenarios for a solution:
Your email address is in the "To:" or "Cc:" field, but the sender is addressing you personally as a different person. Because two people cannot share the same email address, you are probably dealing with a case of mistaken identity. A single incorrect character in an email address will cause the message to be sent to the wrong person.
If your email address is not in the "To:" or "Cc:" field, it might have been included in the "Bcc:" (Blind Carbon Copy) field of the message; therefore, it will appear as if you are receiving someone else's message because your email address does not appear in the header.
Note: In keeping with good email etiquette, if you receive a message apparently addressed to someone else, inform the sender.
